FRONT WHEELSUSPENSIONSTEERING LOWER FRONT ARM REMOVAL
Remove the front wheel (page 10-8)Remove the front caliper (page 13-5)Remove the cotter pin and castle nut fro th lower front arm ball jointRemove the front shock absorber lower mounting boltBreakthe lower front arm balljoint loose using the ball joint remover, then lift lower front arm out of the knuckle (page 1017)

(4) LOW ER FRONT ARM
(3) MOUNTING BOLTS
Remove the lower front arm mounting bolts, nuts and the lower front arm
'86, '87 Shown:
UPPER ARM CAUTION
(1) CAMBER SET COLLARS
(After '87 only): Never reinstall old nuts; once the nuts have been re11Wvedrhev must be reoaced with new ones
INSPECTION
Check the upper front arm for damage or cracksCheck that the upper front arm ball joint operates properlyAfter '87: Replace th upper front arm assembly if necessary
