TRANSMISSIONCRANKSHAFT
CRANKCASE ASSEMBLY
Insta ll new gasket and the dowel pins
(1) GASKET
Inst all the right crankcase onto the left crankcaseIf the crankshaft-to-right bearing fitting is tight, use the special tools to assemble the cases as described below: Place the right crankcase over the crankshaft and transmission shaftsScrew the thread adapter into the crankshaft as shownPlace the drives haft dis assembly tool (8) ove the end of the crankshaftTh rea the assembly bolt onto the thread adapter and tighten the specia left-hand thread nut portion of the assembly bolt against th driveshaft disassembly tool (8) (counterclockwise) Hold the center bo lt stationary and continue to turn the lefthand nut counterc lockwise until the case halves meetDo not over tightenTOOLS: Driveshaft disfassembly tool (8) Assembly bolt Thread adapter
