REED VALVE
REMOVAL
Remove the carburetor (page -5)Remove the six carburetor insulator mounting boltsRemove the carburetor insulator and gasket (' 86 only)
Remove the reed va lve and gasket from the cylinder
'86, '87 Shown:
INSPECTION
Check the reeds for damage or fatigue and replace if necessaryReplace the valve with new one if the rubber seats are cracked or damaged, or if the re is clearance between the reed and seatCAUTION
