STARTER SYSTEM Install and tighten the starter motor screws
STARTER RELAY
Shift the transmission into neutralRemove the rear fender (page 14-2) Remove the junction box coverDepress the starter swi tch button ith the ign ition swi ch ON The coil is normal if the starter relay clicks
Disconnect the connectors and cables from the starter relay Connect an ohmmeter to the starter cable terminals Connect the ellow Red ire to 12V battery posit ive (+) term inal, and the Light Green Red ire to the negativeterminalThe relay sWitch IS normal if here is continuity with the battery connected and no co ntinuity ith the battery disconnected
