Remove the fuel tank (page -31 and th le ft crankcase cover (page -51 Disconnect the starter motor cable from the staner motorRemove the two mounting bolts and he starter motor
BRUSH INSPECTION
Remove the two starter motor case sc rews and the front and rear covers Remove the armature and the brushes
Re co rd th location and number of thrust wa shers for cor rect assembly Inspect the brushes and measure the brush length
