FRONT WHEELSUSPENSIONSTEERING BEARING INSPECTION Turn the inner race of bearing with your fingerThe bearing should turn smoothly and quietlyAlso check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in the steering lower stayRemove and discard the bearings if the races do not turn smoothlyquietly or if they fit loosely in the steering lower stay
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Place the steering lower stay in vice, being careful not to distort it, and remove the top and bottom dust seals Remove the lock nut with wrench adaptor
