FRONT WHEELSUSPENSIONSTEERING Disconnect the tie rod from the knuckle (page 12- 12) and remove the brake hose guard Loosen the'kingpin lock nut by holding the kingpin boltRemove the upper kingpin bolt
Bend up the tab of washer and remove the lower kingpin boltRemove the knuckle
KNUCKLE BEARING INSPECTION
Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finge The bearings should turn smoothly and quietlyAlso check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in the knuckle Remove and discard the bearings if the races do not turn smoothly, quietly or if they fit loosely in the knuckle
