ALTERNATORSTARTER CLUTCHGEARSHIFT LINKAGE Remove the stopper arm and shift drum center
Disassemble the guide plate and drum shifterInspect the ratchet pawls, springs and drum shifter for damage or abnormal wear
(1) RATCHET
PLUNGER
: -(3) SPRING
(4) DRUM SHIFTER
(5) GUIDE PLATE
INSTALLA TION
Apply clean engine oil to the ratchet pawls, springs and drum shifterAssemble the ratchet pawls, springs, plungers and the drum shifter, then install them in the guide plateNOTE Do not interchange the ratchet pawlsalign the grooves of the ratchet pawls with the plungers
