MAINTENANCE
AIR CLEANER
Remove the four wing bolts attaching the air cleaner case cover
Remove the air cleaner element assembly by removing the wing boltRemove the element from the element holderWash the element in non-flammable or high flash point solvent, squeeze out the solvent thoroughly, and allow to drySoak the element in gear oil (SAE 80- 90) and squeeze out excessPlace the element onto the element holderInstall the element assembly into the air cleaner caseInstall the air cleaner case cover by using four wing bolts
SPARK PLUG
Disconnect the spark plug cap and rernove the spark plugVisually inspect the spark plug electrodes for wearThe center electrode should have square edges and the side electrode should have constant thicknessDiscard the spark plug if there is apparent wear or if the insulator is cracked or chippedMeasure the gap with wire-type feeler gauge and adjust by carefully bending the side electrodeRECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT PLUG:
