LIGHTSSWITCHES
RECTIFIER
INSPECTION
Remove the rame left side cover
Remove the rectifier from the holder under the battery with the
couplet connectedDisconnect the coupler from the rectifier
Check for continuity with an ohmmeterThe rectifier is good if continuity exists in the direction of the
arrowNOTE
The test results shown are for positive ground ohmmeter and opposit results will be obtained when negative ground ohmmeter is usedED
NORMAL DIRECTION REVERSE DIRECTION
Oil TEMPERATURE SENSOR
INSPECTION
Disconnect the wires from the oil temperature sensor and remove the sensor from the right rankcase coverSuspend the oil temperature sensor in heated engine oil to check its operationDo n01 let the thermometer or sensor touch the pan or false readings will resultConnect the ohmmeter probes across the terminals of the sensor and measure the resistance
