AlTERNATOR EXCITER COIL
It is not necessary to remOle the stator coil to make this
test Remove the seat and loosen the wire bandsDisconnect the eKciter coil wireThe excitor coil is in good condition if there is continuity between the black red wire terminal and ground RESISTAN CE: 50-200 {lIND) 250400 (MITSUBA )
COl UNIT
Disconnect the COl unit coupler and remove the COl unit
INSPECTION
CONTINU ITY TEST
Replace the COl unit if the readings ere not within the limits shown in the tableNOTE
The COl unit is fully transistorized For accurate testing, it is necessary to use specif ied electrical tester Use of an improper toster may give false readingsUse Sanwa Electric Tester 107308-0020000), Kowa Tester (TH- 5H-ll or Kowa Digital Multitester (0741 1-0020000 or KS -AHM -32-003U.S.Aonlvl
