AIR CLEANER ELEMENT
Remove the seat bV pulling the seat latch leverRelease the retalnmg clips holding the air cleaner case coverand remove the air cleaner case cover
Loosen the air cleaner element band screwRemove the element holder attaching screw and remove the air cleaner element 8ssembly from the caseRemove the element holder by turning it counterclockwise Remove the element band and rem ove the element from the el-
ement coreWash the element in non-flammable or high flash point sol vent, squeeze out the solvent thoroughly, and allow to drv_
Soak the element In gear oilSAE 80-901 and squeeze out eK-
cessPlace the element onto the element core and replace the element band and holder Install the element in the air cleaner caseInstall the air cleaner case cover and clipsInstall the seat
SPARK PLUG
Disconnect the spark plug cap and remove the spark plug Visually inspect the spark plug electrodes for wear The center electrode should have square edges and the side electrode should have constant thicknessDiscard the spark plug If there is apparent wear or if the insula tor is cracked or chipped Measure the gap with wire -type feeler gauge and adjust if necessary by carefully bending the Side electrode
