SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
This section deals with rear shock absorber and swing arm repairsA jack or block is required to support the ATCUse genuine bolts for the rear suspension linkage and shock absorber pivot and mounting; ordinary bolts lack adequate strength for these applicationsAlso take note of the installation direction of these bolts since they must be installed correctly

The shock absorber is fitted with gas-filled reservoirDo not fill the reservoir with air; use only nitrogen and have the shock pressure checked andor charged by an authorized Honda dealer equipped with proper nitrogen charging system The shock absorber contains nitrogen under high pressureDo not allow fire or heat near the shock and be sure to release the nitrogen gas pressure before discarding the shockL-
