MAINTENANCE LOCK NUT nspect the intake and exhaust valve clearances by inserting the feeler gauge between the adjusting screw and va lve stem VALVE CLEARANCESIntake0.05 mm (0.002 in) 0.05 mm (0.002 in) Exhaust: ADJUSTING SCREW
Adjust by loosen ing the lock nut and turning the adjusting screw until there is slight drag on the feeler gaugeHold the adjusting screw and tighten the lock nutTORQUE: 15-18 Nm (1.5-1.8 kg.m, 11-13 ftlb) Recheck the valve clearance and instal the valve adj uster coversTORQUE10-14 Nm (1.0- 1.4 kg.m, 7-10 ftlb) Insta ll the tim ing hole cap
