IGNITION TIMING
INSPECTION
Remove the timing hole capConnect timing light and tachometerStart the engine and check the ignition timing: At 1,300 100 rpm: The index mark should be aligned with the markAt 1,950 150 rpm: Timing advance should startAt 3,350 150 rpm: Timing advance should ceaseThe index mark should be between the full advance marks

ADJUSTMENT
Remove the pulse generator coverLoosen the screws attaching the pulse generator base plate and rotate the base plate unti the correct ignition timing is obtainedTurn the base plate in di rection to advance the timingTurn the base plate in direction to retard the timingRecheck the ignitiol1 timingCheck the pulse generator gap below-
