IGNITION TIMING
VALVE TIMING INSPECTION HOLE
Ignition (COl) system is factory pre-set and does not require adjustmentTo inspect the function of the COl components, ignition timing inspection procedures are given here
Remove the timing hole capConnect tachometer and timing lightStart the engine and allow it to idleIDLE SPEED: 1,300 100 rpm Inspect the ignition timingTiming is correct, if the "F" mark on the generator rotor is al igned with the index mark on the left crankcase cover at idleSee Section 16 for the fu II advance checking procedureIf the ignition timing is incorrect, refer to page 16-6
