MAINTENANCE
THROTTLE OPERATION
Check for smooth throttle lever full opening and automatic full closing in all steering positionsMake sure there is no deterioration, damage or kinking in the throttle cableReplace any damaged partsDisconnect the throttle cable at the upper endThoroughly lubricate the cable and pivot points with commercially available cable lubricant to prevent premature wearInstall the throttle cable in the reverse order of removalMeasure the throttle lever free play at the tip of the throttle leverTHROTTLE LEVER FREE PLAY: 3-8 mm (0.12-0.31 in) Throttle lever free play can be adjusted at either end of the throttle cableAdjust the throttle lever free play by loosening the lock nut turning the adjusterTurn the adjuster in direction to increase the free playTurn the adjuster in direction to decrease the free playAfter adjustment, tighten the lock nut securelyLOCK NUT
