Disconnect the spark plug cap and remove the spark plug Visually inspect the spark plug electrod es for wea The ce nter electrode should have square edges and the side electrode should have constan thicknessDiscard the spark plug if there is apparent wear or if the insulato is cracked or chippedM easure the gap with wire -type feeler gauge and adjust by carefully bending the side electrode SPARK PLUG GAP.6.7 mm (0.024-0.028 in) RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT PLUGDR8ES -L (NGK) X24ESR(NO)
