DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
GENERAL
Here is the basic order suggested to diagnose suspected engine management or fuel injection related problem:Check the chart in the TROUBLESHOOTING section to have an overview of problems and suggested solutions- Check if the eng ine management system (EMS) pilot lamp is ON or blinksIf so, use the B.U .D.Ssoftware and look for fault codes to diagnose the trouble
NOTE: When fault code is present, the EMS pilot lamp will turn on When EMS is in limp home mode, the lamp will blink Check all fusesCheck relay(s)Check fuel pressureCheck spark plugs conditionCheck all connections of the wiring harness Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT section for procedures
