SYMPTOM CONDITION TestInspection
OIL CONTAMINATION (white appearance)NORMAL USE1 Check leak indicator hole (in crankcase MAG side-water pump housing area) if water and oil leaksaLeakage of oilwater mixture from indicator bore means damaged water pump seal ring and rotary sealReplace sealing ring, rotary seal and change oil, oil filter andor coolant (refer to LUBRICATION SYSTEM, COOLING SYSTEM and BOTTOM END)2Check cylinder head andor cylinder base gasketaGasket damaged or leaking Retighten cylinder head with recommended torque andor replace gasket
3Check tightening torque of cylinder head screwsaScrews not properly tightened Retighten screws to recommended torque and replace oil
4Check oil for particles (may indicate possible engine internal damages)aOil contamination due to metal or plastic particlesReplace possibly damaged part(s) including oil and oil filterUse high quality oil (refer to TECHNICAL DATA)
