GENERAL OPERATION INFORMATION
The electrical system consist of different subsystems where some are interrelated: charging system starting system ignition system accessoriesThe following gives an outline of each component
Voltage RegulatorRectifier
A 3-phase full-wave series-type voltage regulatorrectifier receives the AC voltage and rectifies (converts) it into DCThe voltage is also regulated to maximum of 14.7 0.4 volts (DC)
Battery
The battery supplies the entire vehicleSo only DC current is used in the entire electrical system
CHARGING SYSTEM
It is the source of electrical energy to charge the battery and keep it at full state of chargeThe magneto is coupled to the engine and it transforms magnetic field into electric current through phase, delta wound stator on 18 polesThe magneto supplies unregulated AC current (alternative current) to the voltage regulatorrectifier
