Section 10 BODYFRAME Subsection 03 (FRAME)
GENERAL
During assemblyinstallation, use the torque values and service products as in the exploded viewsClean threads before applying threadlockerRefer to SELF-LOCKING FASTENERS and LOCTITE APPLICATION at the beginning of this manual for complete procedure
Cleaning
Clean frame no1 with appropriate cleaners and rinse thoroughlyNOTE: Clean the draining holes under frameThe drain holes are located at the rear of bottom side of frameTouch up all metal spots where paint has been scratched offSpray all bare metal parts of vehicle with metal protector
WARNING
Torque wrench tightening specifications must strictly be adhered toLocking devices (ex locking tabs, elastic stop nuts, self-locking fasteners, cotter pin, etc must be installed or replaced with new ones where specifiedIf the efficiency of locking device is impaired, it must be renewed
Welding
Steel Frame: electric welding amperage: 70110 voltage: 2024 rod: E-7014 (332 in)CAUTION: Before performing electrical welding anywhere on the vehicle, unplug the electronic module connectorAlso unplug the BLACK (-) cable from the battery and the voltage regulatorThis will protect the electronic module and battery against damage caused by flowing current when weldingNOTE: Install the ground as close as possible from the reparation areaCAUTION: If welding is to be done near plastic material, it is recommended to remove the part from the area or to protect it with aluminum foil to prevent damage
