Section 07 STEERING SYSTEM Subsection 02 (STEERING SYSTEM)
HANDLEBAR
Removal
NOTE: This procedure must be used only when handlebar has to be replacedRemove: steering cover (refer to BODY) handlebar grips no1 by removing grip ends no29 and cutting handlebar grip (if necessary)

Inspection
Inspect the handlebar for damage, cracks or bendingReplace if any problem is detected
Installation
For the installation, reverse the removal procedureInstall new handlegrip
STEERING COLUMN
Removal
Place the vehicle on jack standsRemove: steering cover hexagonal screws no6, reinforcements no7, steering supports no8 and elastic flange nuts no9 handlebar console and seat (refer to BODY) fuel tank (refer to FUEL CIRCUIT) tie-rods on the steering column side (see further in this section) hexagonal flange screws no11, half bushing no12, bushings no13, stopper plate no14 and elastic flange nuts no15 cotter pin no19, hexagonal stop nut no18, flat washer no17
