Section 03 ENGINE (LUBRICATION SYSTEM)
Clean around oil pressure regulator and remove sameOil coming out will push out spring loaded ball; take care not to lose ball or spring
Check compression spring for free lengthCOMPRESSION SPRING FREE LENGTH mm (in) NOMINAL (new) SERVICE LIMIT 13.5 mm (.543 in) 13.2 mm (.519 in)
Removal
Remove oil pressure regulator plug no15, valve housing no13, compression spring no12 and ball no11CAUTION: Pay attention not to lose gasket ring no14 on oil pressure regulator plug
Replace both parts if important wear or damage are present
WARNING
Oil pressure regulator plug is spring loadedExtract the ball from the engineNOTE: To easily remove the ball use an air gun
Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedure
