If solenoid receives current, test the solenoid as followsDisconnect large cables from solenoidInspect connections and clean as necessarySolenoid condition can be checked with an ohmmeterInstall test probes on large connectors of solenoidMeasure resistance when 12 Vdc is applied to small connectors; if it is more than few ohms (the resistance should be very low), replace solenoidIf solenoid test good, check the electric starterIf starter test good, the MPEM can be suspectedSee MPEM further in this section
Ignition Switch
All Models quick test to validate it is workingTurn the ignition switch ONIf the lights turn on the ignition switch is goodOtherwise, refer to IGNITION SYSTEM, for testing procedureIf it tests good, continue the next tests
