STATIC TEST: CONTINUITY 1Disconnect the magneto wiring harness connectorOn Traxter series, connect the 6-pin magneto test harness (PN 295 000 136) on the engine connectorWith good multimeter (preferably digital one), place the meter test probes onto the stator wire leads AC-1 and AC2 of the statorMeasure the resistanceRESISTANCE QUEST SERIES TRAXTER SERIES 0.3 0.2 0.4 0.1
STATIC TEST: INSULATION With the stator leads disconnected, insert either of the meter test probe into AC-1 and ground the other meter test probe to the engine or the stator iron core and note the readingThere should be no continuity (infinity) between the stator insulated coils and groundIf there is reading, the stator coils andor the wiring from the coils is grounded and needs to be replacedrepaired respectively
