Section 06 ELECTRICAL Subsection 02 (OVERVIEW)
Power Contact NOTE: The wedge lock must be removed to extract power contactPull both locking tabs and remove wedge lock from plug assemblyPry back the retaining tab while gently pulling wire back until contact is removed
Contact Installation
For insertion of signal contact, make sure the wedge lock is in the open positionNOTE: For insertion of power contact, the wedge lock may or may not be on the open positionInsert contact into appropriate circuit cavity and push as far as it will goPull back on the contact wire to be sure the retention fingers are holding the contactAfter all required contacts have been inserted, the wedge lock must be closed to its locked positionCAUTION: Never apply dielectric grease on contacts in plug connectorThe use of dielectric grease will create poor sealingApply thin coat of DEOXIT contact lubricant (PN 293 550 034 to the pins of the header on the MPEM only
