GENERAL
WARNING
Always disconnect battery exactly in the specified order, BLACK (-) cable firstIt is recommended to disconnect electrical connections prior to disconnecting fuel lines
FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURIZATION
Fill up fuel tank no1Quest Series Models Remove seat and LH engine side panelTraxter Series Models Remove seat, fuel tank cover and right side inner fenderAll Models Install on fuel tank, the special cap of leak testing kit (PN 529 033 100)Install hose pinchers (PN 295 000 076) on fuel pump outlet hose no2 at carburetor, as shown in the following photo
WARNING
When draining fuel tank or whenever fuel line is disconnected, obstruct line with hose pincher (PN 295 000 076) or equivalent deviceFuel is flammable and explosive under certain conditionsEnsure work area is well ventilatedDo not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in the vicinityDuring assemblyinstallation, use the torque values and service products as in the exploded viewsClean threads before applying threadlockerRefer to SELF-LOCKING FASTENERS and LOCTITE APPLICATION at the beginning of this manual for complete procedure
