Section 03 ENGINE QUEST Subsection 10 (GEARBOX)
GENERAL
To remove gearbox, the engine removal is necessaryDuring assemblyinstallation, use the torque values and service products as in the exploded viewsClean threads before applying threadlockerRefer to SELF-LOCKING FASTENERS and LOCTITE APPLICATION at the beginning of this manual for complete procedure
Installation
The installation is the reverse of removal procedurePay attention to the following detailsUse suitable ring to push oil seals in placeInstall oil seals no7 and no36 with the oil seal installer (PN 529 035 941) and installer handle (PN 420 877 650)
WARNING
Torque wrench tightening specifications must strictly be adhered toLocking devices (ex locking tabs, elastic stop nuts, self-locking fasteners, etc must be installed or replaced with new ones where specifiedIf the efficiency of locking device is impaired, it must be renewedTo remove oil seals no7, no36, no65 and no67, the engine removaldisassembly is NOT necessary (see OIL SEALS below)To remove oil seals no7 andor no36 disconnect rear andor front propeller shaft (refer to FRONT DRIVE andor REAR AXLE)
