SYMPTOM CONDITION TestInspection THE ATV ACCELERATES SLOWLY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS STOPPEDNORMAL USE1Check for possible waterdirt intrusionaWaterdirt inside CVT areaUnscrew drain screw andor remove CVT cover and clean CVT area from contaminationbOil leakage out of crankcase PTO andor oil seal(s) (slipping belt)Replace damaged part(s) (refer to GEARBOX)2Check drive belt conditionaBelt is too narrow (drive belt engagement RPM is higher than normal)Replace belt if width is less than specified (refer to CVT andor TECHNICAL DATA)3Check roller(s) on governor cup andor lever condition on drive pulley sliding halfaRoller(s) is (are) worn andor damaged (refer to CVT)Replace governor cup assemblybLever(s) on drive pulley sliding half is (are) worn andor damaged (refer to CVT)Replace all levers at the same time (lever kit)4Check drive pulley sliding half for free axial movementaSliding half is stuck (refer to CVT)Replace damaged part(s)5Check condition of drivedriven pulley springaDrive pulley spring tension is too smooth andor damaged (refer to CVT)Replace springbDriven pulley spring tension is too stiff (refer to CVT)Replace spring6Check carburator adjustment andor high altitude calibrationaCarburator is not adjusted according to specified values andor high altitude calibrationReadjust carburator
