Section 09 BRAKES Subsection 02 (HYDRAULIC BRAKES)
Measure thickness of the discDISC MINIMUM THICKNESS FRONT REAR 3.5 mm (.138 in) 4.3 mm (.170 in)

Place the propeller shaft in viseHeat up brake disc around screws to facilitate removalRemove brake disc screws no37 retaining brake disc no36 to the propeller shaft
Replace disc if not within specificationsCAUTION: Brake discs should never be machinedTurn the disc by hand and check warpageDISC WARPAGE (max FRONT REAR 0.3 mm (.01 in)

Installation
The installation is the reverse of removal procedureHowever, pay attention to the following detailsInspect the brake disc hub at the end of its supportTwo-Wheel Drive Models Install brake disc on its hub and tighten screws no37 to 34 Nm (25 lbfft) in criss-cross sequence
Removal
Front Brake Disc Remove: appropriate wheel inner fender wheel hub Four-Wheel Drive Models front drive shaft (refer to FRONT DRIVE) lower suspension arm All Models caliper (suspend it out of the way) CAUTION: Do not let the caliper hang by the hose and do not stretch or twist the hose drive shaftPlace the drive shaft in viseHeat up brake disc around screws and flange on drive shaft to facilitate removalRemove brake disc screws no37 retaining brake disc no36 to the drive shaftRear Brake Disc Remove: LH wheel caliper (suspend it out of the way) CAUTION: Do not let the caliper hang by the hose and do not stretch or twist the hose rear propeller shaft (refer to REAR DRIVE)
