Section 09 BRAKES Subsection 02 (HYDRAULIC BRAKES)
BRAKE LEVER
Removal
Remove: parking brake mechanism (see above) nut no5 screw no6 brake lever no7
BRAKE FLUID
Recommended Fluid
Always use brake fluid meeting the specification DOT onlyCAUTION: Use only DOT brake fluid from sealed containerCAUTION: Never use other type of oil, do not mix different types of brake fluid
Fluid Level
With vehicle on level surface, check brake fluid in reservoir for proper levelIt should be above MINmarkClean filler cap before removingAdd fluid as requiredDo not overfillCAUTION: Use only DOT brake fluid from sealed containerNOTE: low level may indicate leaks or worn brake padsFront Brake Fluid Reservoir Turn steering in the straight-ahead position to ensure reservoir is levelCheck the brake fluid level, the reservoir is full when the fluid reaches the top of window
