Check for any marks on fixed half plateReplace if necessaryCheck ring gear teeth for excessive wear or other damageReplace fixed half if necessary
Measure length of spring sleeve no16 and check if edges on top of the spring sleeve are excessively wornIf out of specifications, replace both spring sleeves and springs at the same timeSPRING SLEEVE LENGTH SERVICE LIMIT mm (.276 in)
WARNING
Fixed half and ring gear are balanced togetherAlways replace both parts together otherwise severe injury andor damages may occurSpring Measure spring free length and squarenessIf spring is out of specification, replace by newSPRING FREE LENGTH SERVICE LIMIT 75 mm (2.953 in)
Assembly of Drive Pulley
For assembly, reverse the disassembly procedurePay attention to following detailsNOTE: Lubricate spring sleeve no16 prior to reinstall the one-way clutchCAUTION: Centrifugal lever no14 and rollers no19 must move easily after installationInsert slider shoes into governor cup to properly slide in guides
