Section 06 DRIVE TRAIN Subsection 03 (REAR AXLE)
Turn rear axle upside downPress the hub out of rear axleApply some synthetic grease (PN 293 550 019) on splinesIMPORTANT: Do not apply grease on axle threadsUsing the same steel tube as for removal, press hub until the C-clip groove allows C-clip insertionCAUTION: Be careful not to press more than neededOtherwise, the O-ring might be damagedInstall C-clipPress hub in the opposite direction until hub bottoms on the C-clip

Remove the rear axleRemove the snap ring retaining the caliper bracketV02H1KA
1Steel tube used as pusher
Discard hub
Installation
CAUTION: Never reinstall removed sprocket hubAlways install new oneInstall new wear ring on sprocket hubUsing an appropriate steel tube as pusher, press the wear ring on the hub until it bottomsNOTE: The wear ring could be installed after sprocket hub installationClean rear axle splines with pulley flange cleaner (PN 413 711 809)Install new O-ring on rear axle and properly seat against the axle flange
