Section 06 DRIVE TRAIN Subsection 03 (REAR AXLE)
Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedurePay attention to the following detailsApply synthetic grease (PN 293 550 019) on splinesIMPORTANT: Do not apply grease on axle threadsInstall wheel hubPut the washer and nut in placeTorque nut to 220 Nm (162 lbfft)NOTE: If, after applying the proper torque to the nut, the cotter pin cannot be inserted in its hole, continue tightening until slot aligns without exceeding 250 Nm (184 lbfft)Install new cotter pinBoth ends of cotter pins must be folded over nutReinstall capInstall both rear wheels and tighten nuts to 53 Nm (39 lbfft) in criss-cross sequenceCAUTION: Always use the recommended wheel nuts (PN 732 610 084)Using different nut could cause damages to the rimPut vehicle back on the groundAdjust chain tensionRefer to DRIVE CHAIN above
