Section 06 DRIVE TRAIN Subsection 03 (REAR AXLE)
Inspection
Check wheel hub for cracks or other damagesCheck inner splines for wear or other damagesIf any damage is detected on wheel hub, replace it with new oneCheck wear ring no6If wear is evident, replace the wear ring
Near trailing arm and frame junction, remove: protective cap elastic nut washer torsion bar lever lower shock absorber boltRemove trailing armPull drive shaft no9 out of differential no10NOTE: Pull drive shaft strongly
Inspection
Inspect the condition of bootsIf there is any damage or evidence of leaking lubricant, replace themRefer to DRIVE SHAFT BOOT sectionCheck shaft splinesReplace drive shaft if necessaryCheck wear ring on drive shaft endReplace if necessarySee special procedure furtherV07H1SA

Installation
Insert the end of drive shaft in differential and pull joint little to make sure that the stop ring no11 is locked in differential gear groove
