STARTING SYSTEM TESTS ERAL
First ensure the problem is not related to engine mechanical componentsIf so, test the starting systemCauses of proble ms are not necessarily related to starter but may be due to burnt fuse, faulty batt ery, start button, ignition itch, ngin stop witch, starting solenoid, electrical cables, connections or the electronic moduleCheck these components before re moving starterC lt the TI SH TIN table above for general vie of possible proble ms
Using multim eter, easure the resistance bet en the follo ing iresPO SITIO witch to witch to RU WIRE BLA CK and BLA CKW HITE RESIST CE maxInfinite (0.L)
Replace multi-function itch if defectiveIf itch and iring test is good, continue the next tests
Start Button
If engine does not turn hen pressing the start button, test the itch as follo sRemove the front facia and unplug the multi-function switch connectorUsing multim eter, easure the resistance bet en the follo ing iresPO SITIO witch released witch depressed and held WIRE RE DVIO LET and YELL WRE RESIST CE Infinite (0.L) 0.6 max
