Section 03 ENGINE Subsection 06 (REWIND STARTER)
To remove rope no5 from rewind starter mechanism: First remove flat washer no11 and screw no12, locking spring no10, locking spring washer no9, pawl lock no8 and pawl no7NOTE: Use two flat screwdrivers to withdraw locking spring washer no9 Remove sheave no3 from starter housing no1
At assembly, position spring no2 outer end into spring guide notchUse appropriate ring to push spring into starter housing as illustrated
WARNING
Since the spring is tightly wound inside the guide it may fly out when rewind is handledAlways handle with care
