To check thermostat, put in water and heat waterThermostat should open when water temperature reaches 65C (149F)Check if the gasket is not brittle, hard or damagedIf so, replace thermostat and gasket
Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedureCAUTION: Never use the gasket ring second timeAlways install new oneTorque temperature switch to 16 Nm (142 lbfin)Check coolant level in radiator and coolant tank and top up if necessary
