Section 08 SUSPENSION Subsection 03 (REAR SUSPENSION)
Pull back rear drive train assembly to detach swing arm assembly from the frame and disengage the propeller shaftNOTE: Be careful not to damage rubber bellows (if so equipped)Separate the swing arm from rear axleRefer to REAR AXLE
Inspection
Check condition of swing armInspect for distortion or damageCheck swing arm bellows for cracks or damageCheck oil seals no11 for wear or damageReplace swing arm if necessaryCheck condition of bearings no10Make sure they turn smoothlyReplace if necessaryEnsure outer race of bearing fits tightly inside swing arm pivot
