STARTING SYSTEM TESTS GENERAL
First ensure the problem is not related to engine mechanical componentsTry cranking the engine with the rewind starterIf it does not turn, perform the necessary repairOtherwise, test the starting systemCauses of troubles are not necessarily related to starter but may be due to burnt fuse (solenoids or MPEM) faulty battery, startstop switch, ignition switch, startstop switch, STPS (Sub-Transmission Position Sensor), starting solenoid, brake switches (front and rear), electrical cables or connections or the MPEMCheck these components before removing starterConsult also the Starting System Troubleshooting table above for general view of possible problems
