Section 03 ENGINE (CYLINDER AND HEAD)
Remove: exhaust pipe (refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION) valve cover no2 and its gasket no3 flanged bolts no4 retaining cylinder head no5 to cylinder no6 flanged nuts no7 retaining cylinder head to the engineInspection
Check push rod end for wear or damageCheck push rod for bends by placing the rod on flat metal plateRotate rod and measure the deflection with dial indicatorIf the rod is bent, it should be replacedPUSH ROD BEND SERVICE LIMIT 0.2 mm (.008 in)
Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedureNOTE: Apply engine oil on push rod end, on the hydraulic lifter side onlyOn the rocker arm side, apply anti-seize lubricant
