Removal
Remove valve spring no13Push the valve stem then pull valve no16 out of valve guide
Measure valve seat width, using caliperVALVE SEAT CONTACT WIDTH mm (in) NEW Exhaust Intake 1.25 to 1.55 mm (.049 to .061 in) 1.45 to 1.75 mm (.057 to .069 in) SERVICE LIMIT Exhaust Intake mm (.078 in) 1.8 mm (.07 in)
Inspection
Valve Inspect valve surface, check for abnormal stem wear and bendingIf so, replaceValve Stem and Valve Guide Clearance Check valve stem and valve guide for wear or friction surfaces, if so, replace partsMeasure valve stem and valve guide in three places, using micrometer and small hole gaugeNOTE: Clean valve guide to remove carbon deposits before measuringVALVE STEM DIAMETER mm (in) SERVICE LIMIT Exhaust Intake 6.95 mm (.274 in)
If valve seat contact width is too wide, too narrow or has spots, the seat must be ground or cylinder head replaced
