Section 09 BRAKES Subsection 02 (HYDRAULIC BRAKES)
Remove caliper from knuckleUnscrew pad pins then remove pads no31CAUTION: Don't let the caliper hang by the hose and don't stretch or twist the hosePush piston all the way in to allow installation of new padsNOTE: It's very important to clean remaining O.Dof piston out from caliper with brake fluid before pushing the piston back inMake sure the piston is free of any contaminant and is shiny
Installation
Push caliper pistons inward before installing brake padsMake sure that pad spring no28 is in position
Inspection
CAUTION: Do not clean brake pads in petroleum based solventUse brake system cleaner or clean brake fluid onlySoiled brake pads must be replaced with new onesMeasure brake pad lining thicknessBrake pads must be replaced when lining is mm (132 in) thick or less, or look the hollow places on both sides on the pad liningThere are four hollow places on one set of brake padsWhen the pad wear reaches one of the hollow places, the pad must be changed even if the pad wear does not reach another hollow placeV02K0BA
