Piston Inspect piston for scoring, cracking or other damagesReplace piston and piston rings if necessaryUsing micrometer, measure piston at 18 mm (.709 in) perpendicularly (90) to piston pin
With the micrometer set to the dimension, adjust cylinder bore gauge to the micrometer dimension and set the indicator to (zero)
