Section 09 BRAKES Subsection 02 (HYDRAULIC BRAKES)
NOTE: Do not release brake lever or brake pedal until bleed valve has been closedFor the front brake system, switch to LH and RH caliperTurn handle bar to full RH side when bleeding right caliper no6 and turn to the LH side for the left caliper no7This helps the bleeder to reach air into the caliperRelease brake lever or brake pedal slowlyRepeat the procedures until air bubbles don't appear in tube and lever or pedal is stiff
MASTER CYLINDER
Removal
Front Brakes Drain brake fluid from master cylinder no8Remove bolt no9 and sealing washers no10 retaining brake hose no11 to master cylinderDiscard sealing washersRemove screws no12 from master cylinder holder no13 and remove master cylinder from handlebarRear Brake Remove RH foot protectorRefer to BODYUnplug brake switch connectorsDrain brake fluid from rear master cylinder no14Disconnect flexible hose no15 from master cylinder and plug the end to avoid brake fluid spillageNOTE: At this time, check hoses and fittings for damages or leaksRemove banjo fitting no16 and sealing washers no17 retaining brake hose no18 to master cylinderDiscard sealing washersUnhook push rod no19 from brake pedal no5Remove bolts no20 retaining master cylinder to frame5 1
