1, HANDLE BAR
Removal
Remove: steering cover no7 handle bar grips no8 (discard screws no9) brake lever (refer to HYDRAULIC BRAKES) clutch lever (refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION) throttle handle no6 and multi-function switch no5 (refer to the specific section below) steering clamp mounting bolts no10, reinforcements no11 and steering clamps no12 handle bar
Inspection
Inspect steering column for damage, cracks or bending, replace if any problems is detectedCheck O-ring no20 for damageReplace if necessary
Installation
For the installation, reverse the removal procedure
3, TIE-ROD
Removal
Place the vehicle on jack stands and remove front wheel(s)Remove front fender with fender supportRefer to BODYRemove cotter pin no21, castellated nut no22 and hardened washers no23CAUTION: Never tap the knuckle with hammer
