Removal
Remove engineRefer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONRemove cylinderRefer to CYLINDER AND HEADRemove both piston pin circlips no8 then press out piston pinInspection
Check piston pin for crack or other damageMeasure both ends of piston pin with micrometerF01D0NA

PISTON PIN DIAMETER SERVICE LIMIT 21.98 mm (0.865 in)

TYPICAL 1Measuring perpendicularly (90) to piston pin axis A16 mm (58 in)

Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedurePaying attention to the following detailsApply engine oil on the piston pinInsert piston pin into piston and connecting rodSecure piston pin with both piston pin circlipsNOTE: Do not align the end gap of the piston pin circlips with the cutout in the piston bore
The measured dimension should be as described in the previous tableIf not, replace pistonPISTON MEASUREMENT SERVICE LIMIT 99.94 mm (3.9346 in)
