Measure resistance between ignition coil outlet caps and spark plug capsThe obtained value should be between 5.4 and 5.7 !If resistance is good, continue checkIf not, change spark plug wiresDYNAMIC TEST An ignition coil tester available from after-market toolequipment suppliers can be usedCAUTION: Do NOT use coil tester on metal work benchFollow manufacturer instructionsIf the ignition coil is out of specification, replace itIf it tests good ensure the wiring and connectors are in good condition then continue the other tests
When every other components above have been tested and are good, the MPEM can be suspectedEnsure wiring and connectors are in good condition prior to replacing the MPEM
