BATTERY TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM: DISCHARGED OR WEAK BATTERY CAUSE 1Battery posts andor cable terminal oxidized2Loose or bad connections3Faulty battery (sulfated, doesn't keep full charge, damaged casing, loose rectifier)4Charging system fuse burnt or faulty voltage regulatorrectifier 5Faulty charging system generator coil REMEDY Clean and coat with dielectric greaseCheck wiring and connector cleanliness, damaged or short circuitReplaceFirst check charging system generator coilIf it is in good condition replace fuse or rectifierReplaceA17E0JA

There are types of battery tests: unloaded and loadedAn unloaded test is made on battery without discharging currentIt is the simplest and commonly usedHowever, be aware that the voltage test can be good while the battery has not enough power to start the engineA load test gives more accuracy of the battery condition
